Conor McDonnell

Conor got into photography during his teen years. One Christmas he asked for a DSLR camera as he thought it would help him with his art exam – testing a new medium. His new camera ultimately was kept in his box and taken out on occasion for family holidays or parties. It wasn’t until he realised he could get a press pass to a concert he really wanted to go to by being a photographer, so he got in touch with the bands’ management and asked to be put down for a press pass.
I love the diversity of the job, that no two days are the same and the incredible people I get to meet on the way.
I started shooting with Nikon back in 2017. The reason for the switch was Nikon sponsored an Arctic expedition I was on as the expedition photographer, so I had to use their gear. Whilst on the two-month long expedition I fell in love with the gear and realised it was far superior than anything I had used previously.
Now you can find the Z 9 in my kit bag – which had been an absolute pleasure to shoot on in the past two years. With that I have various NIKKOR lenses, which I swap out depending on whether I am shooting a concert or wildlife.
